The awards are also intended to provide a means by which best practice can be shared with companies that wish to integrate sustainability initiatives into their operations but may lack the knowledge or resources to do so. To this end an integral part of the awards will be the creation of a best practice exchange. All entrants that meet the selection criteria will be included on this exchange, allowing businesses to share developments in sustainability practice and push forward progress in this area.
Richard Mattison, chief operating officer at Trucost, said: “these awards highlight the importance of greater collaboration and communication within the field of sustainable business practice. It is vital we recognize those companies that are leading the way in this area and provide a means for others to follow in their footsteps. I am delighted to be involved in something which not only rewards sustainability innovators but facilitates the building of a more sustainable future for the business community as a whole.”
Trucost helps companies efficiently measure and reduce their carbon and wider environmental impacts across their own operations and supply chains, making their business more profitable, more efficient, more customer focused and more competitive.
