Rick is a Consultant in the Corporate Services team and lead on ESG management and value creation at Trucost, part of S&P Global.
Rick specialises in natural and social capital valuation and life cycle analysis. His work at Trucost focuses on the analysis of the net benefits of products, services and processes; business engagement with the sustainable development goals; and developing new methods to quantify and value ESG risks and opportunities in business. Rick also leads Trucost’s research on internal carbon pricing for corporates. Rick has experience leading projects with diverse clients across the food and beverage, apparel, infrastructure, chemicals, airline, and renewable energy sectors.
Rick holds a Masters in Environmental Economics from Imperial College London, and a Bachelor of Science from the Queensland University of Technology. Prior to joining Trucost, Rick worked for the UK Department of Environment Food and Rural Affairs focusing on the valuation of air quality impacts on health; a carbon finance charity focusing on the monetization of the social return on investment of their activities; and for over eight years as a project manager and scientific writer in the medical research sector.
