Matyas is a Lead in the Financial Institutions team at Trucost, part of S&P Global. Trucost assesses and prices risks relating to climate change, natural resource constraints and broader ESG factors, enabling companies and financial institutions to understand exposure to ESG factors, inform resilience and identify the transformative solutions of tomorrow.
Matyas joined Trucost from the risk department of Hyundai Capital (part of the Santander Group), where he worked as a credit analyst. Before moving to the UK he spent six years in the CEE region at two banks working in project and commercial real estate finance in client facing roles as an origination and restructuring officer as well as two years as a senior credit analyst at Royal DSM in The Netherlands.
Matyas holds two Masters degrees in Sociology and Economics obtained at two universities simultaneously & has completed the UNEP FI Environmental and Social Risk Analysis Course. He is also a Financial Risk Manager – Certified by the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Matyas is fluent in English & Hungarian.
