The Environment Agency has published Environmental disclosures: The Second Major Review of Environmental Reporting in the Annual Report & Accounts of the FTSE All-Share for the year ending 31st March 2007. Its first review was in 2004.
9th October 2007 - Carbon Disclosure Project
This year Trucost has analysed climate change disclosures by FTSE 350 companies, on behalf of the Carbon Disclosure Project. Trucost has identified emerging reporting trends since companies responded to last year’s questionnaire, and examined levels of quantified reporting on greenhouse gas emissions data.

Environment Minister, Elliot Morley, says: "The Business Review represents a significant advance in narrative reporting standards, including those for environmental reporting. New UK regulations require Directors to report on their environmental KPIs and Trucost has helped Defra (the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) to produce the Environmental KPIs - Reporting Guidelines for UK Business. These Guidelines will make it easier for business to address their most significant environmental impacts and to report on them in a way that meets the needs of their shareholders and other stakeholders.
13th June 2005 - Henderson reveals investment implications of carbon emissions in two reports - research & analysis by Trucost
Today Henderson Global Investors reveals the investment implications of carbon emissions in two pioneering reports. In the first study of its kind The Carbon 100 evaluates the total carbon emissions of the FTSE 100. Alongside this, Trucost's carbon audit - How Green is My Portfolio? - reveals Henderson's fund as 32% less carbon intensive than the FTSE All Share.

The Environment Agency commissioned Trucost to carry out research that revealed less than a quarter of FTSE All Share companies make any quantitative environmental disclosures in their Annual Reports and Accounts, despite new DTI regulation calling for this from January 2005.
