Mid Essex Hospital Services wanted to;
Trucost identified the Trust’s top 500 suppliers by greenhouse gas emissions and produced a comprehensive environmental analysis and strategic report for the Trust. This analysis compared performance across sites and highlighted opportunities for Mid Essex to reduce its environmental impacts and associated costs.
The Trust has achieved an NHS-first by reporting on all its key areas of environmental impact as prescribed by the NHS Sustainable Development Unit’s paper ‘Saving Carbon, Improving Health’. In addition Mid Essex is well placed to understand its risk exposure to carbon costs and has implemented a strategy for continued monitoring of its environmental impacts.
