The Challenge
Mecom commissioned Trucost to:
- Identify and assess its impact on the community and environment, and subsequently develop a road map for its environmental strategy.
- Address the requirements of the 2006 Companies Act to include information about its material environmental impacts in its annual report.
The Solution
Trucost tailored its data collection portal to collect data on Mecom’s most material environmental impacts across the Group’s multilingual operations. From this Trucost produced a comprehensive environmental footprint for Mecom’s operations enabling comparison of performance between sites and identifying targets for impact reduction.
The Results
Trucost provided an accurate environmental footprint to help Mecom meet the requirements of the Companies Act and a robust framework to support ongoing data collection across the sites.
