Trucost Plc appoints Dr Richard Mattison as new Managing Director.

Trucost plc is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Richard Mattison as its new Managing Director.

Dr Mattison has been leading Trucost's client engagement team and has dealt with over 150 projects over the past 4 years. He has an in-depth understanding of environmental reporting, with a focus on environmental performance measurement. Dr Mattison has authored many reports on environmental performance measurement and supply chain management, with recent publications including the UK Government's Environmental Reporting Guidelines and the Standard Life/Environment Agency report on Carbon Management & Carbon Neutrality.

Dr Mattison will continue to lead Trucost's client engagement team, focusing on the delivery of environmental footprint assessments and Government projects. Other responsibilities include strategic planning and the development of new products.

Prior to this role, Dr Mattison was a strategy consultant at the Mitchell Madison Group, then marchFIRST, where he developed the retail financial service practice in London. At marchFIRST he specialised in business process improvement, supply chain management, and internet technologies.

Dr Mattison has a PhD in Neuroscience from Edinburgh University and a BSc (Hons) in Physiology also from Edinburgh University.

He joined Trucost in July 2001.
