2003: Trucost launches into the USA with Gold Sponsorship of the Green
Mountain Summit on Investor Responsibility, a forum on environmental,
social and sustainable investing at the Stoweflake Resort, Stowe, Vermont,
on 14-17 September 2003. This is the second annual Green Mountain Summit,
one of the largest responsible investing conferences in North America.
Trucost’s contribution to the summit coincides with the expansion
of its research coverage to US listed companies. The Trucost Environmental
System and Environmental Cost Calculator have been developed with the
help and support of Trucost’s substantially US-based Advisory Panel.
These provide a quantitative measure of the environmental impacts of USA
companies, expressed in financial terms.
Simon Thomas, Chairman, Trucost, will be introduced to the audience by
conference organiser Albert Neubert (Information Management Network) on
Monday morning (15th September) and Simon will make opening remarks. Attendees
will have the opportunity to hear more about Trucost from our Advisory
